.....from across the causeway. Starting tomorrow Singapore cars will longer be allowed to top up petrol within 50km away from checkpoints across the causeway in Malaysia. When I first read the news a few days ago. I went "Fwah"!!!!!!
Petrol costs half the price in Malaysia as compared to Singapore petrol charges. Especially with both cars(3.2 and 2.4) at home traveling into Malaysia almost a couple of times per week, one need not need a calculator to sum up how much we've been saving.
With the 50km mark and 20litres constraint the Malaysian government has imposed.
I can only say "Kwa kwa kwa"!!!
Less business for those petrol kiosk near the causeway, more Singaporean wallets would be burnt!
It's a smile for the Singapore government, a cry for Singaporean cars traveling often to Malaysia and gawk knows how the Malaysian government feels about it. @_@
Singaporean cars!! No more cheap petrol from across the causeway starting tomorrow Friday 30th May 2008!!!!!

With weather permitting we brought the kids to their favorite playground at Pasir Ris Beach.
They both love this giant space-net!! Climb all the way to the top and slide down on a long slide. They can continuously do that for at least 30 minutes!
There's also a cable way which allow them to sit on it and with a strong push..it's Weeeeeee!!!!

Why is it that when I was asked if I could sleep the night before my wedding? I replied, "I slept like a baby and my dad had to wake me up to ask "do you still want to get married? Your make-up artist is here." I received the O.o (big eye small eye) look? She later commented that I was weird. Huh?!?! Me weird? Ok! I'm weird in other senses, but calling me weird cause I slept the night before my wedding? Something I'm amused with *roll.eyes*
Plus may I add that she went on to making phone calls on her cell phones excitedly exclaimed "There's someone who slept the night before her wedding!!!!"
I stood next to her, on the verge of slamming her head against the concrete wall....
While the bride to be was going on and on about her having sleepless nights before her wedding and looking like a panda on her wedding. I shot her back the O.o look, too excited?
I was excited too before the big day. But heck with excitement and all, I slept the night away looking contented just like a baby with 1 pacifier in the mouth and holding 2 in my hands...

Who's a perfect mom? What's a perfect mom? Anyone can give me a definition of one?
In my opinion there's no perfect mom/dad.
Mother's day is on it's way. A day for celebration for moms.
While most of us give thanks to our mothers for all that they've given or done for us. I think it should be a day that moms thank their kids as well.
I not a perfect mom. I'm a far cry from it, After 8 years of motherhood I'm still learning the traits of being a mother.
There's always something to learn everyday, and the teacher of it all?
My Kids. Janelle(daughter-8) & Javier (son-6)
They taught me that no matter how I punish them, they still love me!!
They taught me that a simply acknowledgment from me makes them wanna do better.
They taught me the art of balancing - My love for them equally.
They taught me it hurts my heart more than the pain inflicted on them when I lay hands during punishment.
They taught me endurance. Endurance to anything that will make them happy.
They taught me that even though they are both siblings, they are different. I shouldn't compare them.
They taught me punctuality. Fetch/send timings must be always on the dot.
They constantly remind me that the world is changing everyday and so are they.
They taught me that parenting is NEVER an easy job.
They taught me mother's love.
On the light side,
They taught me that no matter how smelly/dirty their diapers were. I had to deal with it.
They taught me how to switch between the DVD and TV wires.
They remind me that I've returned most of what I was taught during school days with their homework I can't even figure out!
They taught me the value of silence whenever they attempt to break my eardrums with screams fights and the quietness that follow when they're asleep.
They taught me that I can "command" without speaking by giving them the "stare" that means "Stop it now, before I give you something to cry about later".
They taught me that parenting is a FOREVER occupation with no sick-leave, no hefty sums of salary/bonus payout and it's a 24/7 365 days a year.

Hamiliton's first pit stop was timed 19.9 *speechless*
Massa gave me another shock during lap 31 when he spun off and got beached in the gravel. Unexpected early retirement for the Ferarri team. Raikkonen's performance was smooth today as compared to last week's Australian GP.
Eyes were glued on Raikkonen and Kubica after Massa exit. Teams also worth noticing this season, BMW Sauber & RedBull.
On the way to the kids paternal grandparents house, we brought the kids to view wild monkeys at- Lower Peirce Reservoir.
Nice stretch of road leading to the water catchment reserve with lots of monkeys on the road, as if they were on display. We stayed in the car. The kids took turns popping their head out from the sun roof spotting some monkeys on the tree branches playing. The monkeys came forward expecting food handouts, but there were signs all along the side of the road.
Well, the monkeys can feed themselves with all the wild fruits and berries in the forest they're residing in. Plus! I'm not taking the risk of burning a hole in my pocket with $500 to break the law. Many times while I wind down the window trying to catch a few snap shots, I freaked out in fear of those monkeys jumping in!
Kind and friendly eastcoastlife informed me there was a 24hr exhibit at the Asian Civilization Museum, Singapore yesterday evening. It's the Nalanda Trail on Buddhism.
We headed there after dinner. The place packed! Cameras were not allowed in there, so no pictures of the exhibits were taken. Was planning on joining the guided tour but gave up when we saw the crowd and the less than audible voice of the guide lady. We ventured around the museum on our own taking our own sweet time.
We felt a sign of relief when we saw the long Q-up at the entrance of the Nalanda Trail. Thank goodness, we had already deposited our bags on the first floor. If not, it's Q-up time for eternity.
Beside viewing the exhibits of the Nalanda Trail we also viewed lots of exhibits of South East Asia back in historic times. The kids were blown away at how life was back in the olden days. Great outing to the museum. Thanks once again eastcoastlife Muaks!!!

Where I came across this weight experiment which consist
of a metal block weighing 200kg!!!!!
Lift the Metal Block using a horizontal bar with ropes on different lever lengths to learn the greater the distance applied from the fulcrum, the easier it is to lift the weight.Visit my other PhotoHunt
