Ling, wow, 4 different languages. Here in the Philippines, its mostly English but in some places, there's Korean symbols under the English ones. What!? Have they taken over the country? (I have a post about this in my GreenBucks blog)There's just way too many of them here.

Oh, your neighbors. Just the other night I called in the local community patrol to go to those noisy neighbors. They did and everything was quiet until there was noise again because our dog got another stray cat. Again.

Have a great weekend :)

haha, perfect for the theme, so most signs there are multilingual.

That is a little different from Southern California. But many signs here are in Spanish and English now...

I always see this too when I'm on a different country especially in most asian countries.

Happy Weekend Ling!

It's only recently that the authorities are putting up more signs in different languages, before that it was mostly English.

Next to tackle would be announcements in different languages. ehhe....

Good shot for the theme. Danger signs are an important one to have in different languages so everyone understands them. Hope you have a great weekend.

This is great and as jmb mentions, Canada has 2 official languages, English and French. However, we have so many immigrants, that sometimes you see signs in Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Punjabi, Hindi, and others.

Great contribution. I love seeing signs posted in languages everyone can understand.

That's a great entry for this week's theme. It's good to have safety signs in different languages to make sure that its meaning is set across successfully.

Anonymous said...

I understand the first one at least. :)

:), I nveer thought you'll come with this idea.
when I was 7, it was my 3rd trip to Singapore, (i was able to read) I told my dad,
"dad, mereka mengerti bahasa Indonesia"
means : dad, they can speak our language...:))

Like Aileni, I've lived most of my life with bi-lingual signs (Welsh/English, and now Irish/English) but four languages is certainly different!

I think more of the world is becoming like that. Living here in the European Union, many signs and product packages are in all sorts of languages.
